All May, None Must, Some Should

$30 | $20 concession | Book online: trybooking.com/340632
This seminar is prompted by the recent consideration by the Royal Commission of the nature and purpose of confession, and the role and responsibilities of the confessor, as well as the canon of General Synod (adopted by Melbourne Synod) permitting clergy to report cases of child abuse revealed during The Rite of Reconciliation. Now a most neglected sacrament, it is timely to recover an informed understanding and a renewed practice of this valuable treasure.
THE SEMINAR LEADERS
The Right Revd Lindsay Urwin, OGS
is the Vicar of Christ Church Brunswick. Bishop Lindsay has considerable experience as a confessor and spiritual director. He regards this means of reconciliation as central to the Church’s ministry of healing and renewal.
The Revd Canon Dr Colleen O’Reilly
is the Vicar of St George’s Church Malvern. She is a member of General Synod and was on its Standing Committee during the debates arising from the Royal Commission.
